Stay Strong
Round and round again, these thoughts have made their stay inside my head.
I’ve tried, I’ve fought, I keep finding myself back in this void, curled up wanting to rot.
“We’re only human, we all make mistakes,” they’ll tell you. Then why in my case, is that never true?
I’m crying, shouting, praying to God that someone will hear me. Please, I need someone, how hard do I have to plea?
Some nights I wonder if this world is even my home, or if my soul is better off alone.
Like a child that makes mistake after mistake, I must deserve to be punished, this is the habit I may never shake.
Maybe an answer is not what I should seek, but rather to hang on so tight, that one day my skin will no longer leak.
Searching long and hard within this dark crowd, I find others just like me throughout.
Drifting, drifting through this raging storm, I find a glimmer of light form.
Maybe this world wasn’t made for me, God knows how long these thoughts have whirled.
But in the end, maybe I was the one made for this world.
If we can just find each other’s hand, this fight may not be as long. If anyone is hearing me, stay fucking strong.

Amanda Todd was a young girl who was brutally bullied, cyber bullied, and cyber-stalked online by a predator, thus leading her to end her life. She was planning on getting the words "Stay Strong" tattooed on her wrist to prevent herself from self-cutting and engaging in suicidal thoughts. She tragically took her life on October 10, 2012. After her death, her father Norm Todd proceeded to get the tattoo on his arm as a memorial for her.
