3️⃣ Make an advertisement video

With the world being so accessible online these days, why not use it to your advantage! Simply make an advertisement video / tiktok / reel on either:

  • Tiktok
  • Instagram reels
  • Facebook reels

How do I participate?

Your video can be in any way you like, as well as any length. BUT MAKE SURE TO:

  • Tag me @symphonylightart or @angelphoenixx
  • Use the hashtags #Recoverypen AND #Recoverypenadchallenge


How do I win gift cards / in store credit?


Based on how many views your video gets, is how much you'll earn back for your free gift card!

  • If your video gets: At least 1000 views and some interaction
    (a couple comments or shares) then you win $3.50 CAD
  • If your video gets: 5000 views then you win $5.50 CAD
  • If your video gets: 10K views then you win $10.00 CAD
  • If your video gets: 30K views then you win $25.00 CAD
  • If your video gets: 50K views then you win $55.00 CAD
  • If your video gets: 80K views then you win $75.00 CAD
  • If your video gets: 100K + views then you win $100.00 CAD

    Once your video has been up for 5 days, I will then use that amount of views you collected to determine your prize amount. I wait 5 days because this is typically when video views slow down or stop. This is so that I can gift you the accurate amount!
    But don't worry, if your video happens to reach near the next view amount, i'll be sure to gift you the rest of the amount you earned!

    EXAMPLE: After 5 days your video reaches 1000 views. I gift you your $3.50 amount. Then say 5 days later it reaches 5000 views, then I will gift you another $2.00 to total up to the $5.50 prize amount!


Tips on how to make successful videos:

  • Catch your audience's attention right away. Most people will scroll after the first couple seconds of a video, so try different ways to prevent that!
  • Have good lighting. This depends on the type of video, but when it comes to showing a product it's important!
  • Be sure to only show the pen on paper not on actual skin as this is against TikTok's guidelines!
  • Watch the other high viewed videos under #Recoverypen for ideas!

4️⃣ Post positive feedback or advertisement about the product

This one applies for Facebook mostly. Here are the ways to do this:

  • Join a group or page about Self-Harm, Depression or BPD, and make a post advertising my Recovery Pens, or share your positive feedback about them if you already bought the product.
  • Under someone's post about wanting help to recover from Self-Harm, link the Recovery Pen in your comment, and tell them a bit of information about it and why you think it would help them.

    After / during doing one of these options, either tag me @symphonylightart OR send me a screenshot about the message or post you made. (You can do this either on social media, or on my website HERE.)

    RULES:

    For making posts:
    Please include trigger warnings. Self-harm is a sensitive subject, and even if it is in a group about self-harm, be sure to warn people of any possible fake blood, or self-harm descriptions that the pen may include.

    For commenting under people's posts:
    -Please do not SPAM! Try to do no more than 2 of these a day, or else the group may flag you for spam.
    -Try to include a message about sympathizing with them, and to not be too pushy.

    What not to do: "Here, buy this self-harm recovery pen it will help. *Recovery pen link*

    Instead, try this: "I'm sorry that you are struggling, I understand you! I have a suggestion that can truly help you! Try ordering one of these recovery pens, they are a harm reduction tool that can help you recover safely, and replaces the realistic aspects real thing! *Recovery pen link*

    This will make it so that you are not seeming too pushy, or breaking any advertising rules. (This typically does not apply if you are not the maker of the product though.)
